Founded by Sue Allen, the Director of Penney’s Finance School and Penney’s Accountancy Ltd, she brings over three decades of industry experience directly to you.
Sue’s extensive background in accounting, honed through years of running her own successful accounting firm in Farnborough, Hampshire, forms the foundation of our course. Recognising the unique financial challenges faced by small businesses, she designed this course to demystify the complexities of finance and provide practical, easy-to-follow strategies that empower business owners to take control of their financial future.

Meet Sue Allen
“You have to pass a driving test to drive, but you can start your own company for £12 with no training or experience. I want to help small businesses across the UK truly understand what is expected from them.”
Sue started her accountancy business, Penney’s Accountancy Ltd, back in 1996 working from her kitchen table. She has seen the business grow from humble beginnings to a team of three bookkeepers, two accountants and an office administrator.
Although Sue’s main role now is building customer relationships and sales, she is honed as the ‘Business Witch.’ She gives countless clients peace of mind and a magic wand to wave all of their financial stresses away – of which, luckily, she has several – but don’t think she won’t cast a spell on you if you don’t get your paperwork to her on time!
Outside of work, Sue has 5 children and a passionate interest in Celtic history and spiritual development.
